Bounce shield

The bounce shield is a campaign-level safety switch. You set a bounce threshold; when a running campaign crosses it, the campaign pauses itself and you receive a notification by email. Nothing more is sent until you have looked at the list, removed or fixed the failing addresses, and resumed on purpose.

Why it exists: bounces are the fastest way to damage a sending domain, and they tend to cluster. A list scraped from an old database, or a single company that has changed its email format, can produce dozens of hard bounces within an hour. If the campaign keeps going, the mailbox provider sees a sender who does not react to failure. A human checking stats once a day is too slow; the shield reacts to the numbers as they arrive.

In Seegnals the shield has its own tab inside each campaign, where you set the threshold and see what triggered it. A campaign paused by the shield shows the Paused status in the campaigns list, and the pause is one of the system notifications sent to your team by email. Pair it with address verification on import: the shield catches what verification could not predict.
